Last Will and Testament
70% of Americans do not have a Will. If someone dies intestate (without a Will) the State will decide who gets his or her assets, money and minor children. Would you want the State to make those decisions for you? (See this article about ex-NFL star Steve McNair who died without a Will)
Of course no one wants this to happen, but most people don’t think they are going to die anytime soon, so it is incredibly easy to procrastinate making a Will. The reality is that most of us will not die soon, but it is important to execute a Will anyway.
Health Care Directive (Living Will)
What would you want your family members to do if you fell into a vegetative state? Would you want to be kept alive via artificial means? This is another important decision you must make ahead of time in order for your wishes to be followed. The Terri Shiavo case offers heartbreaking evidence as to the importance of having a Health Care Directive in place.
Medical Power of Attorney
If you become temporarily incapacitated, who will make medical decisions for you? On what will your family base the health decisions they make for you? Through a medical power of attorney, you can direct your loved ones as to your health wishes and give them direction on which to base your important health decisions.
Financial Power of Attorney
If you become temporarily incapacitated, who will make financial decisions for you and manage your finances? On what will your family base these financial decisions? How will they pay your bills? Through a financial power of attorney, you can direct your loved ones as to your financial wishes and give them direction on which to base your important financial decisions.

-Do YOU need a Will or Trust?
-1. Do you care who takes care of your children if you die?
-2. Do you care what happens to your assets?
-3. Do you care what happens to your money?
If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, then you NEED a Will or Trust.
